Upon arrival you are greeted by off-road parking directly outside the cottage, so you can easily unload your belongings. Make yourself at home in the lounge, curling up on the settee whilst the electric fire gently heats the space. Head into the kitchen and get to work a favourite dish, assisted by electric oven, halogen hob, fridge, freezer and the dishwasher for cleaning up!

Carry the conversation outside, where you can relax on the terrace furniture whilst your canine companion stretches out on the lawn. As the night grows dark, retreat to the king-size bedroom and freshen up in the sleek shower room. Head out the door and wander to the nearby convenience shop, stocking a butchers and deli where you can pick-up fresh local produce for dinner, whilst a little further along lies the village pub, The Globe Inn, where you can treat yourselves to a meal out. Nearby lies the Salcombe-Kingsbridge estuary, a must for those wildlife enthusiasts with a variety of birds, wildlife and marine animals that can be spotted at every turn.

In the picturesque South Hams region of South Devon, the bustling small town of Kingsbridge is located at the head of a saltwater estuary. A 3-screen movie theatre, an award-winning pub, and a variety of charming independent stores and coffee shops can be found in Kingsbridge. Salcombe, one of the nicest towns in South Devon, is located on the banks of the Kingsbridge Estuary and offers estuary excursions by ferry during the summer months. Salcombe is well-known for its breathtaking coastal vistas, gently undulating terrain, and watersports haven for kayaking, surfing, paddle boarding, and powerboating. It is packed with boutique shops, high street brands and independent producers, restaurants serving freshly caught seafood, and Salcombe Gin and Ice cream! The South Devon Heritage Coast and this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (aonb) are both best enjoyed from Kingsbridge, which is ideally situated as a base. Tourists can stroll along Kingsbridge Quay, explore the winding lanes off Fore Street, or go to Totnes' Shambles, an Elizabethan market arcade. There are several scenic ports in the South Hams region, including Dartmouth and Salcombe, as well as Blackpool Sands in Stoke Fleming and the two sandy beaches at Thurlestone.
