Cob Cottage is a cosy, comfortable and delightfully quirky holiday cottage, refurbished and equipped to a very good standard throughout, and ideally positioned for quick and easy access to/from the town and local sandy beaches.
A stable door leads directly in to a cosy and well presented sitting area with original cottage features. The room is furnished with large L-shaped sofa, poufee/coffee table, armchair, TV with Bose soundbar, and feature fireplace with wood burning stove. The living area opens into a well equipped kitchen. The dining area has a wooden table with bench seating, and a door leads through into a utility room. Doors lead out to rear yard with steps up to the parking space, and access internally to the shower room, bunk bed room and master bedroom.
There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom, at first floor level and to the rear of the cottage, has a brass-framed King-size bed. At ground floor level is a children’s room with bunk beds. Also on the first floor is a further bedroom with double bed. A flight of narrow stairs lead up from this bedroom to a cosy snug built into the eaves, with large TV, Blu-ray DVD player and comfortable leather sofa. At ground floor level is a shower room with corner shower cubicle. There is a further family bathroom (adjacent to the double bedroom).
This unique cottage is ideal for a family break in the heart of Salcombe.
Salcombe is a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts, walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea. There are several pretty beaches within a short distance, including North Sands and South Sands, plus the coves East Portlemouth on the opposite side of the estuary, just a short passenger ferry ride away. Also on your doorstep is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, coasteering, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe, take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking on the South West Coast path.
