Garden is the perfect lodge for those of you who like the best of both worlds. If you fancy being so close to the countryside that you can smell the wild flowers from your private balcony, but you don’t want to miss out on those little luxuries like a mattress you can sink into and an en-suite to your master bedroom, then this Scandinavian-style lodge is an ideal retreat.
A stay in Garden means sitting in the nearby meadow until the sun sets, impressing the kids with a family barbeque over the Indian fire pit and making the most of your own private decked balcony at any time of day. The lodge enjoys a secluded setting on the Gara Mill development and as pets are more than welcome it’s an idyllic place to escape the world and enjoy the countryside.
The lodge has been thoughtfully designed, so you’ll discover the kind of details that make a good holiday a great one throughout your stay. How do an open plan living space and floor to ceiling windows sound? The park’s nature trail makes exploring easy and there’s nothing quite like ditching your sandals and wading through the stream on a hot sunny day.
The goat meadow is one of the park’s finest vantage points for unspoilt views across the South Devon countryside, and if the sights inspire you to hop in the car and discover more you’ll be able to take the dog to nearby Slapton Sands with you as they’re welcome throughout the year. The beach is two miles from Gara Mill, and you’ll find Slapton Ley Nature Reserve just behind it if you want to explore.
