Imagine how it would feel to wake up in a treehouse…well, Treetops is about as close as it’s possible to get without actually sleeping in one thanks to its position high above a South Devon valley and its beautiful woodland setting. Set on the peaceful Gara Mill development, Treetops enables you to experience an unspoilt location with all the perks of luxury living.
The lodge was carefully designed with relaxation in mind and it’s an ethos that’s reflected in every room. With a warm and comfortable open plan living space, it’s a welcoming place to get away from it all with a group of friends or your nearest and dearest.
It’s the details throughout this Scandinavian-style lodge that really make it memorable; blissful mattresses and a kitchen you’ll want to take home. Closing the door to Treetops at the end of the day doesn’t mean closing the door to the country views either thanks to its thoughtful floor to ceiling picture windows.
The lodge’s private decked area with private hot tub makes a tranquil spot to sit back with a drink and enjoy the sounds of the countryside and if it’s been too long since you dined outside you can test out your skills on the Indian fire pit. If you leave Treetops and wander for awhile you’ll have you pick of rolling meadows that make perfect places for picnics – just don’t forget the corkscrew.
For those days when you fancy exploring a little further afield – you’ll have the choice of an unspoilt beach at Slapton Sands, surf to write home about at Bantham and the historic town of Dartmouth - all with easy reach.
This property may not be suitable for the elderly or guests with limited mobility due to the location.

...for a secluded spot with unspoilt views, great cabin facilities, look no further. The amenities in the cabin are second to none, including dishwasher and washing machine. Full sized oven and plenty of pots and pans, sadly lacking in other self catering accommodation we have used. We booked a lodge with a private hot tub and although this was around the back near where you parked your car and was disappointing on arrival, you soon realise that this means you are not overlooked by anyone, even if other holiday makers are coming and going to other cabins. The woodland area is ideal if you have a dog but you will need a car if you plan on leaving the site as the cabins are very secluded. Annie, our host, works really hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible, being on hand if the need arises but never 'in your face'. The hot tub was checked every day to ensure the pH and water levels were correct. Fluffy white towels and clean, crisp bedding are all included. Overall our stay was just what the doctor ordered and I would highly recommend these cabins to anyone not seeking bars, pub games and rowdy swimming pools/play areas. Seclusion at its best!
