This cosy, thatched cottage is located just paces from the vibrant town square in Chagford. Here you'll find an array of independent boutiques and galleries welcoming pubs and quirky cafés. Together with its characterful interior, Fox Hat Cottage provides a charming base for enjoying the amenities and local walks right from the doorstep. Fox Hat Cottage is adjacent to the best places to shop, eat and drink in Chagford. Access to the cottage is via the "Drang" off the High Street with easy cheap or free parking nearby and only minutes walk from the beautiful scenic Dartmoor countryside After a day rambling on the moor, settle down in front of the woodburning stove and catch up on your favourite shows from the Smart TV. Allow the chef of the group to get acquainted in the kitchen, assisted by an electric oven and gas hob among the appliances, while the rest of the group can prepare the dining table with crockery and cutlery. Move upstairs to discover two bedrooms, both with superking size or zip/link beds which can be arranged as twins for ultimate flexibility. When you’re ready to explore, you won’t have to walk far to reach a surprisingly large range of traditional pubs serving delicious food, along with many more restaurants to sample after a long walk on the riverbank. Prepare a picnic and head for a relaxing stroll around Fernworthy Reservoir, or for a unique day out with the kids, the Dartmoor Llama Walks is a great experience with these adorable and gentle creatures. Chagford, one of Dartmoor's five Stannary towns, is a little town with a lots to see and do. There are a variety of shops as well as four bars in the area. More active facilities, such as a public tennis court and an open-air swimming pool, are available in Chagford. The Three Crowns Hotel, which dates back to the 1200s, is located in this historic town. Chagford is noted for its culture, hosting film, literary, and music festivals as well as the Two Hills Race, an annual running race. Exeter, a vibrant, lovely city just over 21 miles away, offers a different kind of getaway and is well worth a visit. Okehampton, a quaint and attractive town, is about 12 miles distant.
