About this property

This refurbished, attached cottage is situated in the quaint, seaside village of Shaldon and is only a stones throw away from the estuary, making it the perfect location within walking distance of the local pubs, cafes, beach and village store. There is a modern and contemporary shower room, with large walk-in shower, basin and WC. Also on this level, enjoy the spacious conservatory with underfloor heating where a large corner sofa and dining table have a pleasant outlook over peaceful gardens. On the ground-floor is the idyllic living room, posing a two-seater sofa and arm chair, which can be made into an additional bed if needed.

Within this space is an electric fire with a burning wood effect, in addition to a TV. The well-equipped kitchen is fantastic for two people, designed with corian worktops and an elegantly tiled floor. Upstairs is the cosy double bedroom with en-suite WC and basin. This room is full of charm with pretty garden views. Guests will have access to their own secluded, walled garden area, making for a perfect suntrap and containing a charming table and two chairs, ideal for having breakfast outdoors whilst enjoying the morning sun. It is spacous enough for two.Initially l was concerned about access through the gateway from a narrow lane with having a 6ft- 9in wide car. However it was no problem both in and out frontwards with a little care. The owners, Kevin and Denise l found to be warm, kind, friendly and a real delight. We have a very good holiday with not complains thanks to them.

Nice to have parking, the conservatory was lovely, would definitely stay again if I wanted to do the area again.

The owners were very friendly and helpful and there if needed but also left us to our own devices which was great. We would recommend this cottage and the village of Shaldon is lovely just a few minutes walk away, and you can easily spend a couple of days just locally as it has a beach, botanic gardens, quite a few places to eat and drink, a village green, access to the coastal path and it’s own little zoo. There is a little pedestrian ferry over to Teignmouth or a short walk or drive over the bridge.
