To the front of the house a lawn garden overlooks the river Teign a great spot for relaxing with a book and enjoying the views and evening sunsets. Hidden away to the front of the property is a lower level paved courtyard terrace, perfect with table and chairs for alfresco meals.

Beyond the stylish yellow front door the house opens up into a generous and stylish reception space with sitting room with windows overlooking the water and vibrant turquoise sofas and a TV. Large bi-fold doors split this room from the attractive dining room with dazzling wallpaper and seating for eight people beneath the eye-catching chandelier. The kitchen beyond has fresh white tiles, stunning worktops and vibrant turquoise cupboards plus a host of appliances and amenities to aid our culinary requirements, including a large range style oven with induction hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.

Steps lead down from the kitchen to a lower ground floor and a games room complete with pool table and doors out to the lower terrace.

Sweeping stairs form the sitting room lead you to the first floor and four good-sized bedrooms. A master double king size bed, en-suite shower room and wonderful views of the river, and two further doubles (one a super king the other king size plus a twin room with linkable beds to forma 6’ double. All the bedrooms have lots of storage space and wonderful views of either the water or the pretty village of Shaldon. The contemporary family bathroom has a roll top bath and shower cubicle, so you can choose how to prepare for each day, while a convenient cloakroom may be found on the ground floor.

Located in the heart of Shaldon village, you are within touching distance of a great choice of shops, cafés and pubs to suit all tastes and pockets, plus a golf course, botanical gardens, Shaldon Wildlife Trust and the rugged Ness Cove Beach. Across the water, accessible by bridge or via the pedestrian ferry is Teignmouth, where you will discover a wide selection of shops, pubs, restaurants, bars and cafés, as well as Teignmouth Beach with its 19th century pier. Further afield is the 'English Riviera', a stretch of incredible coastline that pans the towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham or in the other direction the cathedral city of Exeter is worth exploring. Dartmoor National Park is within ten miles of the property, offering walking and cycling opportunities through vast moorland, valleys, forests, wetlands and tors, as well as the chance to see Dartmoor ponies, known to roam the landscape. Shaldon is a pretty South Devon village, situated at the mouth of the Teign estuary, on the opposite bank to the historic, seaside town of Teignmouth. The village has a good selection of pubs, shops, tearooms and more, for your amenities. Nearby tourist attractions include a small zoo, ideal for family-friendly days out, the popular Shaldon Approach Golf Club and Shaldon Botanical Gardens. Due to its coastal location, you will have opportunities for those interested in watersporting activities, such as fishing and sailing. A popular village less than four miles away from the thriving seaside town of Torquay.
