Overlooking the main fishing lake within the peaceful surroundings of Bulworthy Forest Lodges, this charming two-bedroom timber lodge is set within 25 acres of woodland, lakes and winding forest paths, offering a relaxing retreat in the heart of the North Devon countryside. Thoughtfully positioned with space between neighbouring lodges, it enjoys a peaceful sense of privacy while making the most of uninterrupted views across the water and surrounding woodland. Sleeping up to four guests, the lodge is well suited to couples, families and friends seeking a tranquil base for exploring the area. The surrounding countryside offers plenty to discover, with the market towns of Bideford, Barnstaple and Great Torrington all within 15 miles, providing independent shops, cafés and local attractions. The popular beaches of Westward Ho! and Instow are less than 10 miles away, while the picturesque fishing village of Clovelly, famous for its steep cobbled streets and historic harbour, is under 15 miles from the lodge. North Devon’s rolling countryside and dramatic coastline also provide excellent opportunities for walking, cycling and wildlife watching.

A comfortable living area creates a welcoming space for relaxing after a day spent exploring the coast and countryside, while double glazing and central heating ensure year-round comfort. The well-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, making mealtimes easy and convenient throughout your stay. Wi-Fi is available throughout the estate and electricity is included. The lodge offers one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, with bed linen, duvets and towels provided and beds made up ready for arrival. Completing the accommodation is a bathroom fitted with a bath, shower over the bath and WC. The peaceful lakeside setting and surrounding woodland create a relaxing atmosphere throughout, while up to two dogs are welcome and the accommodation is non-smoking.

The enclosed gated veranda overlooks the lake, providing a wonderful spot for a leisurely breakfast, an evening drink or simply watching the changing colours of the water and woodland. Both a Ninja electric BBQ and a brick-built charcoal BBQ are available for al fresco dining, while direct lake and woodland views add to the sense of tranquillity. Guests have free access to five well-stocked coarse and carp fishing lakes across the estate, with woodland walks and trails leading through the surrounding grounds. A washing machine is located in an adjacent shed, and a shared metered tumble dryer is available on site. One allocated woodland parking space is provided, and guests should note that there are steep gradients across the estate. Excellent wildlife-watching opportunities can be enjoyed throughout the seasons, making this a peaceful retreat for up to four guests and two dogs.
