The surrounding area offers plenty to discover, from the colourful streets, waterside pubs and ferry connection to Instow at Appledore, around 3 miles north of Bideford, to boat trips departing from Bideford Quay, including excursions to Lundy Island, renowned for its wildlife and dramatic coastal scenery. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a round at Royal North Devon Golf Club, approximately 5.5 miles away and one of the oldest golf courses in the country, while sandy beaches, scenic coastal walks and popular surf spots can all be found within a short drive.

A family bathroom includes a bath with a shower over, and bed linen, duvets and towels are all provided, with beds made up ready for arrival. The lodge is double glazed and centrally heated throughout to ensure year-round comfort.

The enclosed veranda makes the most of the lodge’s elevated position, providing a wonderful spot to sit back and enjoy the sweeping views across the lakes and woodland. A BBQ is provided for outdoor dining, while the covered hot tub offers a relaxing place to soak and unwind whatever the season. Guests can also enjoy free coarse and carp fishing across the estate’s five lakes, adding to the appeal of this peaceful woodland setting. Additional conveniences include private parking for two cars close to the lodge and a shared metered tumble dryer on site. Please note that access to the lodge involves steep gradients and steps. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included, and the lodge is a non-smoking property throughout.
