Built on the shoreline at Westward Ho!, its position benefits from being just yards from the seafront and great walks along the coastline are within easy reach.
27 Nautilus is a fantastic 2-bedroom, ground floor apartment which was updated in late 2020 with its main benefits being its proximity to the seashore and its modern comforts, including floor to ceiling windows in the living area and main bedroom. The main bedroom has a super kingsize bed and an en-suite, while bedroom 2 has two singles. There’s a main bathroom and the living room incorporates a dining area and access onto the private decking.
Westward Ho! itself offers an array of seaside amenities including some fascinating shops and a range of restaurants and cafés, many of which are regularly visited by locals for their quality fayre.
The popular Tarka Trail can be accessed approximately 3 miles away, providing the unique opportunity to follow a disused railway line allowing you to enjoy some of Devon’s finest countryside and scenery. For a day with a difference take a trip across to Lundy Island, home to England’s first statutory Marine Nature Reserve due to its unique flora and fauna. Measuring just 3 miles by ¾ mile, this entire island has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. For visitors seeking a piece of Devon life, the towns of Barnstaple and Bideford provide the opportunity to peruse their weekly pannier markets, with a host of local produce and crafts on offer. Definately wouldn't recommend 27 Nautilus black mould on carpet and blinds in front bedroom, the ensuite shower mould on shower door really dirty the basin tap really wobbly. The sofa's felt damp water damage on the floor by the windows. Cobwebs by the wardrobe in second bedroom. Carpets dirty. Fire alarm activated by steam in bathroom no way of turning off had to ring housekeeper. Told there was a fob to open gate but turns out it was a key only found out after ringing housekeeper. Told a week before holiday we weren't allowed to use washing machine.Overall very disappointed the owners really need to look at unit and update and make repairs.

The best part about this property is the location which is excellent. The seaview from the main window would have been greatly enhanced if they had been cleaned and smear free. This worsened when the window cleaner arrived to clean the windows in the upstairs apartment. He had no thought for ours leaving them with even more streaks with all the excess water from above falling on them which he just left without any attempt wipe. The property itself is very tired and in need of a lot of refurbishment. There are lots of scuffs and and marks throughout especially on the doors. The heated towel rail in the main bathroom needs replacing as it’s full of rust and the tap in the ensuite is extremely wobbly and about to fall out. It looks like main window has suffered a leak at some point with water marks running the full length of the flooring inside. Cleaning could be vastly improved with the cupboard doors being very sticky and the hose of the ensuite shower full of black grime. We found the property very dark and could benefit from extra lights.On another note our arrival details were incorrect with a fob for the car park mentioned which had actually been replaced by a key - this was quite annoying as you had to keep getting out of the car to unlock the gate and jump back in before it closed - not ideal when it’s raining.It would have been nice to have been told that the property was actually up for sale before our holiday started and given the opportunity to change to another apartment as knowing this gives a totally different prospective on things and probably why we found so many things that needed improvement.

Second time we have stayed at 27 Nautilus, we thought that some areas that needed improvement, kitchen pans weren’t clean, bathroom fans didn’t work. Beds were clean and comfortable. Perfect location for beach and many restaurants.
