Further afield discover the stunning beaches at Saunton Sands and Croyde and woodland and moorland walks on Exmoor National Park. Visit privately owned Clovelly (15 miles) with its steep cobbled streets, or the gardens at Tapeley Park or RHS Rosemoor both offer quiet contemplation and both are within 8 miles.
On entering this property, set out over 3 floors, the hallway leads to the snug area packed with books and a large selection of DVDS complete with a comfy chair and lamp for chilling. The spacious and welcoming lounge has a 50" Smart TV and a log burner. The adjacent dining room has patio doors opening to the small courtyard. Heading into the kitchen you will find everything you need, including Neff hide and slide oven, hob, microwave/combi oven, Lavazza pod coffee machine, Smeg fridge freezer, Rayburn, washing machine, dishwasher and tumble drier, as well as casual seating. The rear door to the kitchen joins up with the small courtyard off the dining room. Stairs lead down from the kitchen to a low ceiling Aladdin's cave, currently equipped as a basement games lounge. A small Strikeworth multi games table offers pool, table football and air hockey, plus a large TV and DVD provide further entertainment. (Please note this is a basement lounge, ideally suited to older children and teenagers. Tall adults will not be able to stand upright ). Heading up to the first floor, which is split level, there are three bedrooms - the master bedroom with stunning sea views across to Appledore is accessed via the en suite bathroom with freestanding bath and walk in shower and has a super king bed and TV, a twin bedroom with a view of the beach and sea plus, on the lower level, a double bedroom with en suite shower room and underfloor heating. Also on this level is a third shower room also with under floor heating and a separate WC.
Stepping outside in to the small courtyard and relax at the end of an enjoyable day in the privacy of the enclosed and furnished patio area, with doors in to the kitchen and dining rooms, offering all the benefits of inside-outside summer living and a wonderful morning sun trap.
