The Barn in Bideford offers a spacious and well-equipped stay, with a sunny conservatory and ample room for families. Guests appreciate the welcoming touches, including a homemade cake, and enjoy the local pub and peaceful village setting. Some mention the remote location and a few maintenance issues, but overall experiences are positive with friendly owners and fun farm activities.
Guests consistently describe The Barn as very clean, indicating high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.
The Barn's village setting is appreciated for its peace and local walks, though some guests find the remoteness and lack of nearby shops less convenient. Road noise is mentioned by one reviewer, slightly affecting the score.
The property is generally found to be comfortable and well-equipped, suitable for relaxation. However, one guest mentioned an uncomfortable mattress and issues with central heating, which impacts the comfort score.
Facilities are well-regarded, with a fully equipped kitchen and additional amenities for children. A quick response to a hot water issue demonstrates good maintenance, though the mention of non-working central heating suggests some room for improvement.
The owners are praised for their thoughtfulness, providing a welcome pack and engaging activities on the farm. While these gestures are highly valued, it is noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The Barn is spacious, very warm, the conservatory is large and sunny in the mornings. All things are catered for including children's games and toys. The kitchen is fully equipped with essentials. The Barn is in a small village. The shops are a 10 mile drive. There were 4 adults and 2 children (primary school age) in our party and plenty of room for all.We had a great time.

Excellent! Very clean and all the facilities we needed. Missed out on trying the local butcher. Lovely walks around the village. Highly recommend staying here.

We stayed in the barn for a long weekend whilst attending a wedding. It was very comfortable and well equipped and would have been a great house in which to spend more time relaxing. We missed the convenience of a nearby shop and are not used to country lane driving! There is a lovely pub within walking distance which we enjoyed for a drink, the food looked very good.We had a wonderful homemade cake and a bottle of wine on arrival at the Barn which was very welcome. The owner was also very helpful.
