When you return, a pleasant sitting area awaits with cushioned sofas, an armchair, and TV to snuggle up with your favourite film. Why not climb the stairs and choose from the selection of books in the mezzanine snug? It's a lovingly thought-out space to hunker down with the potted plants and a chair to take a moment's peace. Outside, guests can enjoy the tranquil surroundings in their exclusive lawned seating area. Why not kick back with a cold glass of wine in hand, as the sun sets over the rolling fields? When it's time to retire, locate the bedroom with its sumptuous king-size bed, homely decor, and rustic wooden latch doors showing the cottage's rich history. The en-suite shower room offers a spacious walk-in shower, heated towel rail, a large vanity mirror, and storage space; a bright and airy space to get ready for the day ahead! Take a break from the kitchen and head to the nearby Bell Inn, a traditional pub serving classic fare, while the small market town of Great Torrington is a short journey away; stock up at the local supermarket, dine at the Torridge Inn, or pack your clubs for a game at Great Torrington Common Golf Course. RHS Garden Rosemoor is a must-visit in the area, especially during the summer months when the flowers are in full bloom, complete with a restaurant and tearoom. Further along lies the Halsdon Nature Reserve for romantic strolls through unspoilt countryside and woodland along the River Torridge, but if you're seeking a livelier day out, take a short drive to Bideford. Chudleigh Fort, The Burton at Bideford Art Gallery and Museum, and The BIG Sheep family amusement park are just some of the attractions on offer! A little further sits Westward Ho! for beachcombers looking for a spacious, sandy beach, along with Northam Burrows Country Park, and picturesque coastal paths leading to Abbotsham Cliffs overlooking the sparkling sea. There's so much to see along the Hartland Devon Heritage Coast, such as the iconic Blackchurch Rock and The Clovelly Waterfall, where just nearby the ancient fishing village of Clovelly is well-worth a stop off for lunch. Secure your next romantic getaway to Devon at this unique, characterful cottage, The Byre.
