From the moment we arrived, and were greeted by Lucy, we felt at home. The Cart House is located on the edge of a working farm and is remarkably peaceful and tranquil. The accommodation is extremely spacious and absolutely ideal for a couple. It wraps around you making the visit very relaxing. It is also ideal for those who like to walk or cycle with a spacious entrance hall where one can leave outdoor kit.The views to the coast are beautiful, and we were captivated by the endless visitations by garden birds to the well-stocked feeders.This really is an extraordinarily unspoilt part of the West Country, and the Cart House is the perfect base for exploration. Lucy is a very unobtrusive but supportive host. We very much hope to return.

If you want a quiet and relaxing holiday this is it. The remote location away from everything is so good, with that comes a great deal of wildlife which can be seen from the windows. From rabbits and squirrels to owls and woodpeckers before you even go on the many walks available here.A great relaxing time.
