This well-equipped flat has spectacular views looking out across the estuary to Braunton Burrows. Situated in the popular fishing village of Appledore where it is just by the National Coastal path leading to the Northam Burrows and the beach at Westward Ho! which is popular with surfers and kiteboarders. Appledore has a lively pub scene with good food and live music on many nights. With many local attractions like Clovelly, this apartment provides the ideal base for exploring, relaxing and watching the boats come and go. The ferry to Lundy Island passes regularly and trips can be booked from Bideford Quay. Water sports, golf, horse riding and fishing are all within 5 miles. Shops 600 yards, pub and restaurant 400 yards.

The apartment is well-equipped and decent. It has two large bedrooms and a decent-sized front room. The most impressive part is the view of the estuary. Both bedrooms and the living room have large windows, so it can be fully appreciated. This is a place for a couple or family that want to take the kids looking for crabs or a couple looking to appreciate the coastal walks and a lovely view. The only downside is the external view of the property. I was OK with it. It reminded me of council houses when they were purposefully made to less attractive for cost. It didn't matter for me, but it would not be a place to impress a date. A lovely stay though and no major issues. Radiators may need to be bled as some were very weak.

Yet again a fantastic time spent at The Mount. The place is clean, tidy and well equipped. Although there is a bit of a hill to get back to the property this is compensated for by the fantastic views you are afforded out of the windows. With in about a mile of the beautiful fishing village of Appledore with its lovely cafes, restaurants and pubs. Just grab a coffee, chill on the promenade and watch the boats and wildlife go about their business up and down the river. We will be back for a fourth time soon.
