The cottage was set in a wide area of countryside, away from main roads and traffic with a huge garden and a hot tub. The cottage itself was clean and cosy, the owners were lovely and helpful but generally left us to our own devices!Fantastic place, hope to be back again **

Enjoyed a lovely week at the Old Mill House. It was peaceful and quiet with space for the children to play and a beautiful view of the sea from the living room window. The kitchen was very well equipped so we could cook everything we wanted with ease and some cleaning equipment was available too which was handy. The hot tub was really well maintained and exceptionally clean. Welcombe Mouth Beach is within walking distance albeit being a steep climb back to the cottage and the cottage itself is in a great place to be near plenty of open sandy beaches in Bideford and Bude with great surfing/body boarding and lots of rock pools to explore. We had a great time, thank you so much.

This cottage is in a lovely, quiet location with a thirty minute (very steep!) walk to the nearest beach.Some things to note- The wifi was not intermittent (we had it working perfectly for day 1 of the holiday, but then it went off and never came back on for the following 6 days). There is also no phone signal.The nearest shop is a 15-20 minute drive into Kilkhampton (Co-Op).Due to the nature of the isolated location and lack of local shop, it would have been nice to have tea/coffee/milk available on arrival, but no essentials are provided, not even hand soap.The crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment needed washing before use as it was put back in the cupboards unclean.Although the hot tub is for private use, it overlooks the shared car park and garden so people can see you using it.The car park is quite tight if you have a larger vehicle.Although we enjoyed our stay, we would have appreciated knowing these things in advance 😊
