We stayed at the Old Roundhouse with all our family (10+dog in total) to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary which is this week coming. There's plenty of room for all in the barn, comfy surroundings & a very well equipped kitchen. We all commented that a kitchen island would work well, as the area is very open. The dining room table was great to sit us all for dinner & for playing games in the evening. The games room is fab! Some of the beds could do with new mattresses. The place is very rural, the access road rough, so go slow. Lovely walking from the house & into Hartland. Do go to Hartland Quay- on a windy day the waves & surf were absolutely amazing to see. Also Clovelly-we saw porpoises fishing in the bay.The owner was very quick to reply to queries, as the water went off one morning! Very helpful-thank you!We all recommend the Old Roundhouse- super for a large family group.

The cottage is large and really well equipped, very cleanGreat games room, loads parking, beautiful views. It is remote down a farmers track, so it is bumpy and narrow.I did ring owner for fire wood, for the firepit, he was round within the hour and delivered a bag full at no charge.Just 1 tip, pack your own hair dryers in all the bedrooms they was just small, not powerful travel hair dryers. But a great place for walking, into Hartland the nearest village with small shop, chippy, 3 nice pubs. Bideford has lots amenities which is 14 miles away

Fantastic accommodation, brilliant space, beautifully presented and equipped. Slightly remote location, which we loved as we live rurally, though some might be fazed by that. Within walking distance across the field to Hartland, lovely pubs for eating in at Hartland, The Hart Inn particularly accommodating as we were a birthday celebration and they put up decorations for us. Lots of other walks through the fields or along coastal paths. Plenty of cafes to stop at for a snack or lunch. Weather was at times gusty with heavy rain but we were able to enjoy the games room, the hot tub and board games. A family gathering - we had a blast.
