A relaxing retreat situated on a pretty golf complex (members only), this delightful Scandinavian style detached lodge is the perfect, peaceful escape and ideally placed to explore both North Devon and North Cornwall. The surfing beaches of Westward Ho! and Bude are an easy drive, and for family fun The Big Sheep and The Milky Way Adventure Parks are close by. There are numerous National Trust properties in the area, as well as RHS Gardens at Rosemoor and Docton Mill. Hartland Abbey is well worth a visit, as is Clovelly. Cycling, riding, sailing and fishing are all available locally. Lovely country, woodland and coastal walks, and for cycling enthusiasts the nearby Tarka Trail offers 21 miles of scenic pleasure. Shop 6 miles, pub 2½ miles.
The golf and leisure park is for members' use only.
There is open water in the property grounds.

Great place to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility. Also great as a base to get to beaches and attractions. Not a usual camp/ hoilday place no entertainment or whatever. For me that was the main reason I loved it.

The location is very rural, the single track 1.5 mile road from the A39 is one continuous pot-hole, the lodge is located in a very quiet peaceful area.But I wished that I had read previous reviews before booking, nothing has changed, everything is old, worn out and grubby. I thought the oven had a smoked glass door, it wasn’t it was grease and burnt on food! The short decking ramp to the lodge door is positively dangerous when wet, it needs some sort of non slip fitting.
