Very comfortable and clean with lots of space. The furniture and fittings were as new. On a cold March day it was tempting to stay in and not go out! The owner was very helpful.

We were very warmly welcomed by Ann and Phil, who showed us around their upside down converted barn. The converted barn is on the owners land and they live in the farmhouse. There are two bedrooms a double which we think is a small double we have a five foot double at home and the bed felt smaller than ours. The bed was lovely and soft, and the pillows were deep and soft. The type of bed you lay your head on the pillows and fall into a deep comforting sleep, remembering nothing until you wake refreshed from slumber the next morning. The en-suite shower and bathroom had endless amounts of hot water, more than sufficient for a nice deep hot bath to relax and sip Prosecco while you think of your adventures of the day. The towels were all soft and fluffy, and of excellent quality. Upstairs is an open plan living, dining and kitchen area all very well laid out with the sofas well positioned to take in the views of the isle of Lundy across the hills. The property is extremely well equipped with fridge freezer, hob, oven, dishwasher and sufficient pots, pans, dishes and equipment to cook a full three or four course meal. We cooked breakfast everyday and dinner on three evenings. The dishwasher is of a slimline model and we found on the evenings we cooked a full meal we had to do two cycles as everything wouldnât fit in on one. The property was immaculately presented and extremely clean, even behind the beds. The converted barn is semidetached to Hartland View, this one doesnât have an en-suite but is also on Sykes website.There is a shared guest utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, but hey with the lovely open countryside Ann and Phil provide the use of a massive long washing line to hang the washing out to dry, we still chucked the towels in the tumble dryer for ten minutes to give them back their soft fluffy feel, I canât stand cardboard towels. The property is located very close to The Tarka Trail in excellent walking country, take those poles and stride off all those Devon Cream Teas.. All in all a lovely converted barn with excellent hosts in a tranquil and peaceful area of Devon. Highly recommended..
