Guests say

Guests have had a delightful experience at Nuthatch Cottage, praising its comfortable amenities, beautiful garden, and welcoming owners. The location is ideal for exploring Dartmoor and local attractions. Some minor issues with WiFi and phone signal were noted, but overall the stay was enjoyable with thoughtful touches like a welcome cake.

The property is described as spotless, indicating a high level of cleanliness that guests appreciated.

The cottage's proximity to Dartmoor National Park and National Trust properties, along with its quiet setting, suggests a very good location score.

The reviews mention comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen, but a suggestion for a stair gate indicates room for improvement in comfort for families with young children.

While guests mention well-kept gardens and a well-equipped kitchen, there are mixed comments about WiFi and no specific mention of maintenance, so it's not possible to give a comprehensive score.

The owners are noted for their helpfulness and thoughtful gestures such as a welcome cake and dog biscuits. However, as gifts are not guaranteed, guests should consider these as pleasant bonuses rather than expectations.

We hope to return in future, maybe booking Two Shoes as well to visit with extra family. We have so much left to see in the area. The beds were really comfy, the shower was hot and it was a powerful hairdryer which is rare in a holiday let. The kitchen is well equipped and the rooms are a great size with good storage, mirrors etc. Meadow, Dad and I were all very happy. The delicious lemon drizzle cake and dog biscuits were much appreciated. Dad said the only improvement that he could think of was bigger bath sheets for the shower. My only suggestion is to put some board games in the sideboard. Warm regards, Jo

Whilst some other family stayed in the other cottage here. We received a very warm welcome and we all loved our stay. The gardens were lovely and well kept. The rooms were nice and the bed in the main bedroom was a good size for all four of us to comfortably fit in of a morning. The cottage was well set up for kids but could have done with a stair gate and a second baking tray for our dinners. It was quiet even though we were next to the road and the boys were able to safely run between the cottages to visit family whenever they wanted. The cake Sally made for our arrival was yummy. We had a lovely bbq but if you are planning to have one during your stay ensure to bring some metal utensils with you. Thank you for a great stay.
