Visit National Trust Kingston Lacy, Poole and its natural harbour and quay, Brownsea Island or sandy beaches at Sandbanks, Bournemouth and Studland. To the west is the Purbecks, with Saxon Wareham, Corfe Castle (National Trust) and the seaside at Swanage, with its steam train and promenade. The New Forest National Park is a 20-minute drive.
