Tudor Rose Cottage is a delightful fairytale thatched cottage for two, nestled within the beautiful village of Stourpaine, within an an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This chic and romantic dog friendly hideaway is the ultimate luxury getaway, furnished and equipped to a high standard.
The attractive and cosy sitting room with its wood panelling oozes character and charm, a feature wood burner effect fire and soft lighting create a warm and romantic atmosphere. Hand-chosen antiques pair perfectly with the modern plush velvet sofa and comfortable armchair, creating the perfect cosy space to enjoy a glass of wine or watch your favourite movie, or perhaps listen to your favourite playlists on the bluetooth speaker. The separate, panelled dining room is the perfect spot to enjoy decadent late breakfasts or intimate evening suppers. The well-equipped kitchen includes an electric double oven with ceramic hob, slimline dishwasher, microwave, fridge and that all important Nespresso coffee machine. Here you will find all that you need to create delicious meals using some of Dorset’s excellent local produce sourced at one of the many wonderful farm shops in the county. The stylish bathroom includes a roll-top bath and separate walk-in shower enclosure.
The first floor of this gorgeous cottage has a double aspect bedroom with a king-size bed, beautifully dressed with designer linens. The adjoining snug has a single iron day bed and study area complete with antique desk and is a relaxing space in which to start writing about your holiday adventures, or ideal for friends who require separate beds. At the rear of the cottage, and accessed via French doors, is a lovely sunny enclosed courtyard with table, chairs and parasol, the perfect spot for your morning coffee, alfresco lunch or supper.
Great walks begin at the doorstep, with two fantastic iron-age hillforts close by, numerous footpaths in all directions, and the superb village pub is just a short stroll away. The village is ideally situated for days out in all directions, with the towns of Blandford, Dorchester, Wimborne and Shaftesbury all just a pleasant drive away and numerous pretty villages all around.

We had a wonderful stay at Tudor Cottage. Very relaxing and a perfect spot to stay when going out for days exploring the area. The cottage was beautifully decorated and has everything we needed to make this a fabulous relaxing few days ð
