Very clean comfortable cottage. Beautiful village. Steps up to the cottage coupled with very steep tight twisting cottage staircase may be a problem for people with limited mobility.Separate parking space a bonus

A quaint thatched cottage in a small village, where the locals were friendly and chatty. The cottage met our needs and was cool in the hot weather. There was no smell of damp that other reviews had mentioned. The kitchen was well stocked for those who wanted to cook with pots, pans and utensils. The bed had feathered pillows and duvet, which were unsuitable for me. We initially slept with the duvet cover, due to the hot weather, but this was too small for the bed as it only covered the top of the mattress. We ended up buying a super king sheet, only to find on the last day that there was a sheet in the drawer underneath. The cottage was situated within travelling distance to Lyme Regis, Wimborne, Stour head, etc, therefore making a good base from which to travel. Sturminster Newton was within walking distance and offered scenic walks along the river Stour.The owners also provided a welcome basket - thank you.

Very cosy, but probably a little too cosy not for the tall !set in wonderful village, with pub just a step away and excellent dog walks on the doorstep.Lots of tractors and horse riders passing by.Mobile reception a little sketchy but who needs it when you can just bask in the views of the Dorset hills!
