About this property

Manor Farm House is a beautifully restored, 300-year-old Georgian property nestled in the picturesque village of Bere Regis, Dorset. Conveniently located near local shops and amenities, this charming home enjoys a prime position surrounded by the stunning landscapes of the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, rich in wildlife and natural wonders. Just a short drive from Dorset’s spectacular coastline, including the world-famous Jurassic Coast, this delightful retreat is perfect for a group of six friends or family members, along with their two beloved canine companions. Park off-road, making the transition into your home-away-from-home hassle-free. Be welcomed into the inviting sitting room, where you can look forward to relaxing evenings watching your favourite shows on the Smart TV with plenty of plush seating for the whole family as your pooches snuggle up in front of the crackling woodburning stove.

The kitchen is fully-equipped to inspire your culinary creations, with the spacious dining room offering the perfect spot to savour your meals. Here, the comforting warmth of the additional woodburning stove adds to the inviting ambiance. You'll appreciate the meticulous attention to detail in the furnishings, from the carefully-curated interiors and artwork adorning the walls, to the plush armchairs that make this space much more than just a place to eat dinner. If the weather permits, head back outside through the front door and use the side gate to your private enclosed garden, where you can dine alfresco with your favourite evening tipple while children and pets play freely.

There is also a small courtyard accessed directly from the dining room. Completing the ground floor is a convenient cloakroom, stylishly adorned with vibrant, eye-catching wallpaper that adds a playful touch to the space. As you feel the weight of the day ease, make your way up the well-lit, spacious staircase to the first floor, where you'll find three beautifully appointed bedrooms, two king-size and a twin. One of the king-size rooms offers the added convenience of an en-suite, while the remaining two bedrooms share the stylish family bathroom, ensuring plenty of space and comfort as you prepare for the day ahead.

Explore your local surroundings, where right on your doorstep, you will find the beautiful Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), where you can wander through scenic walking trails through forests and meadows, and perhaps spot the rare bird species of the eye-catching yellowhammer! Take a short drive of the stunning Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Man O'War Beach and Lulworth Cove Beach await sandy footsteps, and are delightful areas to swim, rock-pool or hike along the rugged cliff path. Here, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, or Corfe Castle are well-worth a visit, all of which are famous landmarks with spectacular views, fossil hunting, and photo opportunities.

History enthusiasts will find plenty to explore, from the fascinating Tank Museum, home to one of the world’s largest collections of tanks, to Clouds Hill, the former home of author T.E Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia), managed by the National Trust. Lastly, towns that should not be missed are Wareham, amidst a lovely riverside setting, and Swanage, a picturesque seaside town with a pier and beach. Whether you're into outdoor activities, history, or simply relaxing in the countryside or by the sea, there’s something nearby for everyone with a stay at Manor Farm House.

Bere Regis is found in north-west Purbeck District between Dorchester and Poole and is a short distance to the villages of Moreton and Bovington. The house was very spacious, clean and very well stocked. It accommodated us as a family of 4 plus grandparents very well. The Wi-Fi connection wasn't very stable though and often kicked you out, a very minor issue and didn't affect our stay.

Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Well equipped kitchen, good sized dining room for family gatherings, and comfy lounge. Well stocked Nisa Local shop and good pub (excellent Sunday Carvery) just across the road. Good local walks and Athelhampton House & Gardens well worth a visit with good EV charging facility only 10mins drive away.

It has a beautiful dining room with a lovely dining table, the sitting room is comfortable and cozy, it has a very well equipped kitchen to prepare meals and drinks to have, sitting around the table in the dining room. We had one small problem, which was sorted within an hour of reporting it, great service. There was plenty of hot water and the cottage was warm, there are two log burners, but we only used the one in the sitting room. The bathroom and en-suite are clean and functional. All in all a beautiful cottage to spend a week or two with family or friends. Did I mention the beautiful dining table?
