This was a little gem. It was so cozy and comfortable. So close to the shops, bars and resturants. We found everything good and would have no hesitation in staying there again, I loved Swanage so the chances of that are very high. There were nice little thoughtful touches (ie DVD's games books. various useful literature.

A lovely apartment easy to reach, and really close to everywhere that the holidaymaker needs to be. My only two criticisms are absence of laundry facilities either in the apartment itself and in town, and lack of double glazed windows to shut out very late night crowd ambience: after a long day's travel to The Winch, I found it difficult to settle off to sleep because Saturday night noise endured until nearly 2am. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Winch, and would happily return at some point in the future. It was good that a drying rack was available in the apartment: I managed to launder clothes in the sink then dry them on the rack which I sat in the shower base, and this proved an adequate way to ensure I had enough clean attire to wear for the remainder of the week.

Apartment was very good , location excellent. The bed was small and the mattress was absolutly terrible. I woke up every morning tired with a bad back.Then the noise from the local pubs go on till the early hours every night. The front lounge at night was full of light and pub and traffic noise until 2 am . Impossible to sleep.There was unfortunately no aircon so a window open at night was essential, but then more noise.The owners have spent a lot of time and money and there are nice touches everywhere. However Secondary double glazing is urgently required , plus aircon, plus black out blinds in the lounge essential. I certainly wouldn't want to stay during the heat of the summer months. But if the items above were addressed we would consider returning. Regards Dave.
