Bridport sprang built around the River Brit and was formed by rope and net manufacture. Long, broad alleys and lanes between the buildings originally braided flax into rope; today they're crowded with stores, restaurants, and inns. River Cottage often features Bridport's market. 2 miles south of Bridport is the Jurassic coast at West Bay, a World Heritage Site and location for TV's Harbour Lights and Broadchurch. Lyme Regis is 10 miles away. Excellent for exploring West Dorset.

Nicky and Mark have thought of all the little touches that make a relaxing and stress-free stay. As soon as we arrived we knew we would love our stay there, and we werenât disappointed. The tranquility of the garden was exactly what we needed, with so many different plants and decorations to notice and admire. The cabin had everything we needed and was cozy and comfortable for the evenings. Nicky and Mark were kind, generous and attentive hosts without being the least bit obtrusive. We were already planning our next visit before we had left.
