The negative reviews for this property really are not justified (or things have been improved dramatically). If you are looking for a 300 year old cottage full of character, sat within its own garden and away from the tourist areas, then I recommend it. We found it clean and the self check in and check out could not have been easier. Overall, for its competitive price, we think it deserves 5 stars and recommend this pretty little cottage.

A pleasant little cottage, comfortable bed and cosy, however, the cleanliness of the cottage leaves a lot to be desired. Not talking a weeks dust and cobwebs but months. A deep clean of the property is really needed cobwebs in the kitchen, lounge and bathroom. It may be us but we weren't impressed and took a few photos in case we were asked. We would hope the owners address this as it is a lovely little cottage.

Do not book this cottage!! The cleaner needs to be sacked! It's a 300 year old thatched cottage so we expected a few cobwebs & a couple of spiders but there was absolutely no excuse for the amount of cobwebs we found ( even behind the headboard of the bed ,which obviously hadn't been moved & cleaned in a long, long time!!!) When I stripped the bed on day of leaving I was almost physically sick to see the state of the pillows underneath the pillow protectors, I would be very ashamed to 'provide' pillows for paying guests in that horrendous condition!!! The cleaner/ housekeeper should be ashamed of themselves for the quality/standard of hygiene & cleanliness all around the cottage!!!
