The Doves in Bridport offers stunning views and a peaceful setting, with many guests praising its cleanliness, location, and the warm welcome from the owners. While some found the cottage comfortable and well-equipped, others noted issues with Wi-Fi, fridge size, and road noise. The property's proximity to beaches and the coast was frequently appreciated.
Most guests found the property to be spotlessly clean, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, a few reviews mentioned issues with cleanliness upon arrival, such as dirty crockery and a used toilet, which slightly lowers the score.
The location is highly praised for its breathtaking views and proximity to the beach and local attractions. Some guests mentioned traffic noise due to the proximity to the coast road, but the overall sentiment about the location is very positive.
Guests generally found the property comfortable, with special mentions of the beds and the peaceful environment. However, concerns about the size of the kitchen, the open plan layout, and the adequacy of the ensuite bathrooms for all guests have been noted.
The property is appreciated for being well-equipped, but several guests raised issues with Wi-Fi connectivity, fridge size, and the lack of certain kitchen utensils. The presence of a dishwasher was a pleasant surprise for some. Maintenance concerns, such as the lack of hot water in an en-suite and the absence of extract fans in bathrooms, were also mentioned.
The owners are frequently mentioned for their thoughtfulness, providing a warm welcome with touches like milk and biscuits. However, it's important to note that such gestures, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Good location. Exactly as described. Very comfortable, particularly the beds. Walking in to Burton Bradstock requires a walk down the field opposite as there is no footpath immediately outside the property. Hosts Jenny and Ernie on hand but unobtrusive. Super views of sea and coast from the property. A bigger fridge would be good by not sure kitchen has the space for it. Great location for exploring further. excellent bus service to e.g. Lyme Regis or Weymouth. Would certainly use again.
