About this property

Nestled in the charming village of Burton Bradstock you will find The Stables, a stone-built property, which provides a wonderful home away from home for a family or group of friends wishing for a peaceful break near the spectacular Jurassic Coast. The property sleeps up to six guests in three first-floor bedrooms; a double offering an en-suite shower room with walk in shower, basin and WC, a second double and a twin bedroom, which are both served by a family bathroom consisting of a bath with overhead shower, so you can choose to indulge in a long soak or have a quick freshen up before beginning your day, along with a basin and WC. The spacious kitchen/diner is the perfect spot to gather together whilst the head chef of the group whips up a tasty meal to be enjoyed at the dining table as you plan your holiday itinerary, before carrying on the conversations in the comfortable sitting room in front of the charming woodburning stove and catching up on your favourite TV shows or delving into that book that you have been meaning to read. Why not step outside onto the courtyard with your morning cup of tea or coffee and take in the calming countryside air before setting off to explore the local area and all the delights it has to offer. This picture postcard village has thatched cottages, quaint tearooms and traditional public houses serving home cooked meals and Dorset Ales, and the local shop offers free-range eggs and fresh milk, along with many other daily essentials. There are many excellent walks to embark on whilst holiday at The Stables; some taking you along the scenic National Trust Cliffs and towards the North Ridge, and others along the spectacular shoreline of Hive Beach where you can stop and grab a bite to eat or a tasty ice-cream at the on beach café. Head east and visit the lovely Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens and famous Abbotsbury Swannery, or take a drive over to Weymouth to experience the classic seaside delights of amusements, eateries, and exciting attractions such as the SEA LIFE Centre and Sandworld, and the quirky town of Bridport sits just next door and offers a weekly market with arts, crafts and unique souvenirs to take home. However you choose to spend your time on the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, The Stables will prove to be an ideal base for you to discover all things Dorset and enjoy a truly relaxing break with your loved ones.

Peter was very friendly & helpful. We really appreciated the Prosecco, flowers, fruit & chocolates. The cottage was immaculate & very comfortable. We would recommend the Three Horseshoes pub which was two minutes walk away.

It was beautifully equipped, very comfortable, and the discount at the wonderful Hive Beach Cafe was a lovely treat. If feedback is helpful, the only tiny critique I would make is that the kitchen table cloth kept sliding off the table: we were sorry to break a glass the first time it did it, when it took out the half done jigsaw the second time, we were really sorry! But that is an incredibly small point. This is a wonderful cottage in a perfect spot.

The wifi was good given the signal is not very good generally the further west you go. The owner was friendly, welcoming and informative. The location was great, close enough to the pubs and village shop but also not on the main road, essentially on sunny day and bank holidays! I will certainly be using this cottage again and would recommend it to friends or family without hesitation. Thank you, Leigh
