Individually designed and furnished for comfort, each cottage offers delightful surroundings in which to enjoy a relaxing holiday. Walkers can enjoy discovering a very varied landscape, from high chalk hills, through the winding lanes of sleepy valleys to the dramatic cliffs of Golden Cap (National Trust). The nearest beach is at West Bay, just 4 miles away, where rowing boats can be hired and fishing trips arranged. Along the coast is Lyme Regis, whose sheltered harbour famously featured as a setting for the film ’The French Lieutenant’s Woman’. The historic market town of Dorchester is 15 miles. Weymouth, 14 miles, offers everything from water sports to night clubs. Shops, pubs and restaurants within 3 miles.. Both properties: Panel heaters, electricity and bed linen included. Valley View is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. The furnishings and equipment were top class. Even though the amenities read shared coin operated washing machine, there was a stand alone one in cottage. That was a nice surprise. The cottage was beautifully clean and spacious and we were out in the wilds. The owner was very nice too. Follow the directions to reach cottage on paperwork and don't rely on Google!

Comfortable, well equipped and clean cottage in a beautiful part of Dorset. As mentioned by previous reviewers the double mattress was far too soft for us, also shower would probably work much better is the rose was descaled.Only a few miles from Bridport which has good supermarkets and independent shops but very narrow roads to get there if you're not a confident driver.
