Guests say

Woodpecker Cottage is highly praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and tranquil rural setting. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, cosy atmosphere, and proximity to the Jurassic coastline. The local pub and nearby towns add to the charm, though the pub's closure was noted. A welcoming environment, including treats for pets, contributes to a delightful stay.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as spotlessly clean, contributing to a very positive impression and a comfortable stay.

The location is appreciated for its quiet rural setting and good access to the Jurassic coastline, though one guest mentioned the lack of bus service as a drawback.

Reviewers find the cottage very cosy and comfortable, with special mentions of good quality furnishings and beds, and a warm atmosphere enhanced by central heating.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, including the kitchen, bathroom, and en-suite shower. However, one guest mentioned an issue with a self-flushing toilet, slightly impacting the score.

The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, providing a welcome basket and dog treats. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Cottage was clean and comfortable, only issue was the toilet in the double bedroom kept randomly self flushing and making an awful noise which disturbed our sleep. I’m sure that if we had reported it, the problem would have been solved but we just put up with it.
