Nestled in a tranquil rural setting, it offers a cosy stay with easy access to the Jurassic coastline and local attractions. Guests appreciate the dog-friendly environment, ample parking, and the emphasis on recycling. The local pub and proximity to Bridport add to the charm, although the pub's closure was noted. The property is ideal for a relaxing getaway and stargazing due to minimal light pollution.

Guests consistently mention that the cottage is spotlessly clean, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The location is appreciated for its quiet rural setting and good access to the Jurassic coastline and nearby towns, although one guest mentioned the lack of bus service as a drawback.

Reviewers find the cottage very comfortable, with special mentions of good quality furnishings, comfortable sofas and beds, and a warm atmosphere enhanced by central heating.

The cottage is well-equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, BBQ, and recycling facilities. However, the local pub's closure was a minor inconvenience for some guests.

While guests are delighted with the overall experience, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

We spent a very enjoyable, relaxing long weekend at Woodpecker Cottage. A very comfortable, well furnished and well equipped cottage in a lovely quiet rural location. At this time of year, the gas central heating was very welcome.

Had a very good relaxing time. Only letdown was lack of bus service. Checked detail before booking but information was incorrect.
