Dominey’s Yard is a stunning collection of four charming Victorian farm workers cottages, which sit proudly within the pretty village of Buckland Newton on the edge of the Dorset Downs and within the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Collectively called Dominey's Yard, the delightful cottages of Gardener’s, Poacher’s, Woodcutter’s and Gamekeeper’s sit side by side. They offer splendid accommodation for individual families or larger gatherings. Each cottage is beautifully furnished and well-equipped and all have a wood burning stove, Smart television with attractive, comfortable seating.

The individual kitchens include a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine in each and all have a ground floor cloakroom. On the first floor of each cottage, you will find the comfortable bedrooms, all beautifully styled, with the beds dressed with high-quality linens, decorative cushions and throws. Three of the cottages offer a king-size bedroom, a twin bedroom and a family shower room. The larger cottage Gardener’s, offers a super-king size bedroom with en-suite, a king-size bedroom, a twin, a family bathroom and a separate shower room.

Each cottage has its own patio terrace with garden furniture and barbecue, the patios lead on to a large open-plan and extensive garden area, plus a children’s play area with garden games for all to enjoy. A stroll around the grounds leads you to the large heated outdoor swimming pool (available May – September), with its surrounding terrace and sun loungers, a perfect spot for everyone to gather all together. Home grown fruit and vegetables are available seasonally at Dominey's Yard, and there is much wildlife to enjoy watching whilst relaxing in the special setting.

Located in the pretty village of Buckland Newton at the head of the Piddle Valley. The village has a popular family run pub, and a village shop just a few minutes’ walk away, and is ideally situated being within easy reach of the Abbey town of Sherborne and the County town of Dorchester. The Jurassic coast with its beautiful beaches and the SW coast path is only 18 miles away, making the location of your holiday home ideal.

Please note that in addition to booking the collective of the four cottages for up to 18 guests, the cottages can be booked individually for smaller groups and families (subject to availability).
