Churchview House is a spacious and well-equipped cottage, ideal for large family gatherings or group stays. Guests consistently praise the warm welcome from the hosts, the ample kitchen facilities, and the comfortable communal areas. The property’s character and charm are appreciated, and its location offers easy access to local attractions. Some guests note traffic noise in front bedrooms and limited parking, but these do not detract from the overall positive experience. Thoughtful touches, such as welcome packs and homemade cake, are frequently mentioned and much appreciated.
The majority of guests found the property clean and tidy, with several reviews specifically mentioning cleanliness. A few noted that the decor is a little dated, but this did not impact their perception of cleanliness.
The house is praised for its convenient location near Dorchester and local attractions. However, its position on the busy A35 means some traffic noise and tricky parking, particularly for larger vehicles or during wet weather.
Guests found the beds comfortable and the house warm and cosy, with plenty of space for large groups. Some mentioned minor issues with water pressure and traffic noise in front bedrooms, but overall comfort was rated highly.
The property is very well equipped for large groups, with a spacious kitchen, multiple lounges, and plenty of crockery and glassware. Some maintenance issues were noted, such as dated showers and occasional water pressure problems, but these were outweighed by the overall quality of the facilities.
Many guests appreciated the warm welcome from the hosts, including thoughtful touches like a welcome pack and homemade chocolate cake. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Lovely weekend away, a family of 11 including two toddlers. Big enough to accommodate for lounging about and at the table, two sinks in kitchen was a great help. Each bedroom has its own en suite or bathroom which is perfect. Stairgates for toddlers which was needed on doors as their are two sets of stairs and one very steep. On main road but no issue for us. Hosts were very reachable and pro active
