We had a lovely stay at Parlour Cottage. It is in a beautiful location with open views across the countryside. The owner gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. The cottage was cosy, clean and mostly well-equipped, with plenty of crockery and cutlery. The beds were comfortable.There are a few things that would turn this into a 5* property:- a plug in the bathroom basin (very difficult to shave without one!)- a lid on the toilet seat- a rack in the shower cubicle, as there is nowhere to put soap, shampoo, etc- scissors- metal serving spoons- a cafetiere (it is rare not to have one in cottages these days)- a heat resistant mat to put hot pans out onto to protect the table and worktops- a sieve and/or colander- the handles are missing on the wardrobe doors of bedroom 2, which makes it difficult to open the doors- it would be good to have a nest of tables to use beside the second armchair and sofa- the cooker hood light needs some attention as it flickers and becomes unusable- a hairdrierIt would also be useful to have an information folder with instructions for appliances, wi-fi, details of where to find bins, etc.

Our second stay at Parlour Cottage. Excellent communication with owner. The cottage is well equipped and in the perfect position for exploring Dorset and Somerset. We will certainly book again.
