Welcome to The Lodge, this recently refurbished property is located in a small village of Cheselbourne, approximately 9 miles from the historic market town of Dorchester. Stepping inside the property you are welcomed into a large open plan living/kitchen/dining area, the perfect space to relax after a day exploring the local countryside. The living area with French doors onto the private rear garden, benefits from comfy sofas and a smart TV with access to Amazon Prime. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine and washing machine. There are two bedrooms, one double and one single. The bathroom has a shower over bath, basin and separate toilet. Outside is where you will want to spend your time, the stunning gardens are private with a private stream running at the rear where if you are feeling brave can paddle to cool down. The stunning six person hot tub is located at the side of the property which is secluded away from any neighbouring properties.
For the walkers among us, you are in for a treat either on the doorstep or away from the property. The famous Jurassic Coastline is less than 20 minutes from the property, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are one of the stunning locations you can take in on this walk. Make sure you do not forget the camera. The award-winning Beaches of Weymouth are approx. 16 miles from the property, here you will find miles of golden sandy beaches, local bars, restaurants and many other activities for everyone to enjoy. One the way home, you can stop off at the Historic market town of Dorchester where you will find many historic locations, museums, weekly markets and many local shops which offer everything you need. Back at the property, remember to take the driveway slowly as you pass the alpacas which will come and say hello. Please remember not to enter the field.

The lodge was lovely very tidy and clean Kitchen had everything you would want or need Plenty of towels provided We made full use of jacuzzi and that was clean It was very peaceful All the local areas are close by once you have negotiated the narrow road in and out that lasts about 15 mins from main road As a lovely touch the owners left 6 freshly laid eggs which are delicious a cake and some jams.I was delighted to find a bag of ice in freezer as it was very warm The weather was superb for our stay

We had a very comfortable week in The Lodge which is very well equipped indeed.There is a stream flowing at the far end of the rear lawn where you will also fund the Hot Tub The lodge is situated in a valley and is next to the owners 400 year old cottage. They have Alpackers grazing in the adjacent field.The entrance to the lodge is via a short steep gravel curving driveway, so with care!Dorchester if just seven and a half miles away.Ideal for a family of three.Enjoy! (we did!)

We both loved every minute we spent in the Lodge, the owners Bev & Graham were so lovely too! Absolutely loved the alpacas and the garden and hot tub were fantastic, we really didn’t want to leave!
