Pitt Cottage is a picture postcard thatched cottage like those out of one of Thomas Hardy's novels. The cottage location is unique, standing majestically in half an acre of land offering panoramic sea views and complete seclusion. Sweeping lawns with hedges on either side reinforces privacy. To the rear of the property is a wooded area which attracts birds and wild animals. The sun setting on the horizon is a breath-taking sight; Ringstead Bay being famous for its sunrises and sunsets. The Bay is partially owned by the National Trust so most of the area is outstandingly beautiful, unspoilt and highly sought after. The coastal path which stretches from Weymouth to Lulworth offers the enthusiastic rambler a breath-taking walk to remember. A short walk will also take you to a picnic area and a seasonal shop where you are able to purchase your daily paper, essential provisions and partake in a nice cup of tea accompanied by freshly caught seafood sandwiches. A relatively short drive to the nearby resort town of Weymouth will provide you with high street shops and entertainment if required.

Accommodation: Ground floor: Large hallway. Kitchen/diner. Lounge with sea views, patio doors to garden (please note this garden is not entirely enclosed). Cottage stairs (steeper than normal) to 1st floor: Bedroom 1, twin single beds. Bedroom 2, twin single beds. Bathroom with bath, hand basin and toilet. Bedroom 3, super king 6ft wide bed, ensuite bathroom, with bath, separate shower hand basin and toilet. Portable "Z" bed. (Please note: the duvets and pillows may contain feathers and may not be hollow fibre).

Please note; The Wood to the North of the Cottage has a pheasant release pen which is protected by a low level electric fence.  Please do not let dogs or children roam in the wood unsupervised .
