    Perfect house and garden

  • The Guardian, Coolest Holiday Houses on the Jurassic Coast Guide

Perfect for large parties, this early 19th-century house has a traditional exterior that belies its contents. Bespoke wallpaper and lighting, plus vintage and modern pieces, make a show-stopping mix, while a sleek indoor pool adds some tranquillity. Outside there’s a natural swimming pond and 14 acres of gardens with riverbank. The Hive Beach Café is just down the road.

We have been longing to find a place that we can keep going back to year on year, at last we have found it. It has everything a large family like ours needs. We were most impressed by the high standard of the fixtures and fittings, even down to the cooking equipment. We will be back. Thanks so much.
