This gorgeous duplex apartment really has it all - stunning sea views, Chesil Beach, numerous shops, bars and restaurants all in easy walking distance! The living room has comfy sofas, wonderful high ceilings and a fabulous bay with window seat - a great spot to watch the world go by. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you will need during your stay and more. The breakfast bar/dining area is ideal for meals at any time of day. From the kitchen you will find your balcony area with gorgeous sea views over Chesil Beach. The bathroom is truly wonderful, with its large pebble-shaped bath. On the second floor you have a large master bedroom with en-suite shower room and a second double bedroom.
The apartment is perfectly located in an elevated position less than a mile walk from Chesil Beach; it is the ideal base from which to explore the stunning beauty of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and all Dorset itself has to offer. A visit to Portland wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the famous Portland Bill Lighthouse where you can experience the breath-taking views and enjoy the spectacular coastal walks back home to Fortuneswell … you will not want to forget your camera.
Apart from the many local walks and activities such as watersports, sailing, swimming, boating and fishing, there is also a birdwatch observatory, sculpture park, museum, art galleries, Portland Castle and D-Day Museum within easy walking/driving distance or on a convenient bus route. If you are looking to venture further afield, you can always visit the historic town of Dorchester, Abbotsbury Swannery, the spectacular Durdle Door, or Lyme Regis. Poole Harbour is approximately a 45-minute drive and is the second largest natural harbour in the world which is also home to the famous Brownsea Island. Beach ½ mile.

Lovely comfortable apartment. Thought parking may be issue but was happy to park in car park just a short walk.

The apartment was lovely, very comfortable and spacious. It would have been nice if there had been basic provisions provided such a olive oil, tea, coffee etc, but otherwise it was very well stocked, especially in the bathrooms.Only negative comments are the toilet on first floor was freezing and could do with some sort of heater and also an outside light by the front door is essential especially with the scaffolding as it was absolutely pitch black at night.The area was disappointing as apart from the coop and fish and chip shop there were no cafes or other shops. The Cove Inn was very nice but otherwise had to drive to find any cafes or restaurants. Can highly recommend Salt on the Marina, fabulous food, lovely decor and very friendly staff.

A lovely flat with a spacious feel and with stunning sea and roof top views at the back. I appreciated its convenience for the Co-op and local amenities to the front, and the down hill walking (and up again!) to the beach and cliff top walks. (As it’s on the main road there can be a little traffic noise from the master bedroom at the front, but it wasn’t a problem with ear plugs. The back bedroom is peaceful with a beautiful sea view). Thank you for making my stay so comfortable. I’ll definitely be back!
