Guests say

Lobster Cottage in Weymouth is praised for its prime location near the town, harbour, and beach. Guests appreciate the dedicated parking, cosy atmosphere, and the thoughtful touches like welcome packs. While the cottage's charm and convenience are highlights, some guests mention maintenance issues such as the need for paint and minor repairs. The property's cleanliness receives mixed reviews, with some guests finding it spotless and others noting areas for improvement.

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed. Some guests found the cottage to be spotless and well-presented, while others reported floors not being hoovered, presence of hairs, and issues with outdoor cleanliness. The varied experiences suggest that while the property is generally kept clean, there are instances where attention to detail is required.

The location of Lobster Cottage is consistently praised for being perfect, with its proximity to the town, harbour, beach, and local attractions. The convenience of having a dedicated parking space in such a central location is frequently highlighted as a significant advantage.

Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, with cosy interiors and well-furnished rooms. However, some guests mention issues with heat on the top floor and the steepness of the staircases, which could affect the comfort level for some visitors.

Facilities are deemed adequate by most, but several reviews point out maintenance issues such as the need for shower repairs, fridge problems, and low-quality kitchenware. While the property is equipped for a self-catering holiday, these maintenance concerns have impacted the overall experience.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident through mentions of welcome packs and treats, which guests found to be a pleasant addition to their stay. However, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed and may vary.

The location of the cottage is perfect being 30 seconds from the old harbour. The cottage itself is clean and comfortable. Already booked for next year! Thank you x

Great location , car parking area always a bonus . All rooms were clean , very good size bedrooms , comfy living room ,kitchen and utility area . The small garden area is great when the sun shines . There has obviously been a damp issue in the hall area , and some of the ceilings have old water marks but I know how difficult they are to paint/ deal with . My only issue was the increased noise due to the new bar - most nights you could hear shouting , and drunk individuals up and down Cove St . Beyond 11 pm As we have stayed here before we know it’s this bar and not the Red Lion or the Old Rooms . There was even one person banging on every door with an umbrella late night .

The area is very striking and lively. Having parking beside the cottage is such an advantage. The cottage is well appointed and a small courtyard garden (paved not grassy) was very well used by the family - sitting outside for most meals. All of Weymouth is within walking distance including the two and beach. Much better than our best expectations.
