Guests are delighted with the spacious, well-equipped Old Coastguard Apartment 3, praising its ideal location near the beach, shops, and cafes. The en-suite bedrooms and additional utility room are particularly appreciated for family convenience. While parking challenges and stair access are noted, the overall experience is highly positive, with many planning return visits.

The property is consistently described as spotless and beautifully decorated, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that guests appreciate.

The central location is frequently highlighted as perfect, being close to local amenities, the harbour, and the beach, although parking difficulties slightly affect the score.

The comfort of the apartment is well-regarded, with special mentions of comfy beds and quietness despite the central location. Some guests noted the mattresses could be improved, which slightly impacts the score.

Facilities like en-suite bathrooms, a utility room, and kitchen equipment are praised. However, comments about the need for better kitchenware, unreliable Wi-Fi, and shower issues suggest room for improvement.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no specific mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so it is not possible to score this category.

Overall we found it to be very well appointed and liked the space / the facilities / the heating and the individual bathrooms. It was clean and tidy and very well situated and one can see a lot of thought and care has gone into the place. I must however mention a few things which need attention and which otherwise don’t represent the high quality as follows: 1. Mattresses. They are the thinnest and cheapest mattresses. Extremely low quality and extremely uncomfortable; offering little comfort. Even my kids complained about this whereas my wife and struggled to get a good sleep. For a property of this quality I would expect a higher grade of mattress 2. the dining table seats. they offer no padding. As soon as one sits on them one immediately settles into the wooden seat frame; i.e., the padding is non existent. For such an otherwise impeccably appointed property, I would say these 2 items were unexpected and the owner would do well to address them. 3. last the internet seemed to be very slow. Perhaps it was because we were 6 but even when I was up at 4AM doing my calls and Teams meetings I was quite often experiencing interruptions and disconnections. Anyway just some feedback which I hope will be constructively received - overall we enjoyed the place and would be delighted to come back if the issues could be looked at!

The beds were comfy and each room had its own bathroom, utility room was great and handy to wash and dry clothes. The kitchen was well stocked with all the bits you'd need and all the rooms were spacious. All the local amenities and attractions were closed by and the menu for the cafe downstairs was a handy addition. We did have a bit of an issue with a couple of the showers and finding the hairdryer but this was quickly solved by the owners. Good to be aware that this particular apartment was top floor so lots of stairs and also skylights in the bedrooms without blinds. I personally enjoyed waking up to the sun each day but you might want to pack an eye mask otherwise! Brilliant stay, would definately recommend!

It would be good to get blinds on tje Velux windows as we were all waking up very early, and some games would be a nice addition as we've had these at other properties. We'll be recommending the property to friends and family and hope to stay again in the future!
