Mermaid House is located in the ever popular 'Maltings' development, a favourite with holidaymakers due to its quiet and exclusive residential location, yet close to the popular Brewers Quay area and harbour. The Maltings housing development lies approximately five minutes' walk away from the busy Brewers Quay with its numerous eating places and colourful pubs which all lead to the fascinating Harbour. The walk from The Maltings along the coast path to the Nothe Fort or the ruined castle at Sandsfoot is very invigorating. Secret rock pools found at nearby Newton's Cove capture the imagination of young children. For the less energetic the coastline offers benches where you may sit and read the days newspaper or just look across the bay to Portland. The golden sands at Weymouth about are a 10 minute walk along the busy harbour.
