The Oast House in Weymouth is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its spaciousness, character, and secure parking. Its central location is ideal for exploring local attractions, and the property offers ample room for large groups. While some guests noted areas needing maintenance and improved cleanliness, the overall experience is positive, with many guests enjoying the comfortable accommodation and expressing a desire to return.

Cleanliness received mixed reviews. Some guests found the property clean and well-presented, while others noted issues with outdoor cleanliness and the need for a more thorough cleaning in certain areas. The presence of ants was mentioned, suggesting room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the harbour, beach, shops, and restaurants. Guests appreciated the quiet yet central setting, with secure parking adding to the convenience. The location is a standout feature of the property.

Comfort is generally well-regarded, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the living spaces ample. However, some guests mentioned that the property could be more accommodating for those with mobility issues due to the internal steps and layout.

Facilities are appreciated for catering to large groups, with two fridges and expansive living space. However, guests reported maintenance issues such as problematic showers, a noisy washing machine, and the need for updated furniture. These issues suggest the facilities could be enhanced.

This thriving area called Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated right at the very heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. Now a popular destination with many restaurant’s café and bars making it a vibrant location where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked in the harbourside streets here you will find original Tudor harbour buildings estimated to have built 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible facts and artefacts, there is more to this seaside town than meets the eye. The harbour is home to the lifting bridge where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge into the town with it’s winding streets of boutique shops and onto the seafront Esplanade and beach. Brewers Quay is a much loved location in Weymouth.

The gated courtyard means that there is no passing traffic noise, but the clientelle from the nearby pubs can be a little noisy at closing time, particularly at the weekend. This is only short lived however, so not a huge problem. The Oasthouse itself is a lovely property, with masses of space for a family to spread out. The seating and beds are very comfortable, and the bedding of a fine quality. The property may not be ideal for the frail or partially sighted, as there are many steps and the floor is of a uniform coloured wood, so there's nothing to demark these. We also found the sound insulation between the property and that located to the left of it as you face the Oasthouse to be insufficient, as those of us located in the rooms next to this property could hear the voices and the movement of people next door clearly, so I would put heavy sleepers in those rooms! The wood floors in both obviously don't help with this either. Overall though, we would very much recommend this property as a comfortable, well equipped and spacious getaway in a very special location.

Very spacious, plenty of room for 10. Fabulous location. Great not having to drive to the town/beach. Liked that it was gated as it felt secure. Glad to have a washing machine and two airers to use. We have already booked for next year.
