About this property

Cleeve Hill House is a delightful house resting in Prestbury, Gloucestershire, featuring off-road parking, an enclosed garden with a firepit, and generous living spaces designed for gathering together. Set amongst the rolling landscapes of Cleeve Common, this substantial Cotswold stone home offers a wonderful base for large families, groups of friends, and walkers eager to explore the countryside. Step inside and discover a home that balances traditional character with space to spread out. The impressive sitting room invites everyone to come together after days spent outdoors, whether sharing stories by the fire, settling in for a film night, or simply enjoying time in one another's company.

For quieter moments, the separate snug provides a peaceful retreat, where a woodburning stove and shelves of books create an inviting atmosphere for an afternoon read. At the heart of the house, the kitchen and dining spaces encourage long breakfasts, celebratory dinners, and everything in between. The classic AGA lends a timeless feel to the room, while large windows draw in views of the surrounding countryside. Four thoughtfully arranged bedrooms provide flexible accommodation for larger groups, including a spacious principal suite with its own en-suite shower room. Outside, the enclosed garden and terrace create space for al fresco dining, family games on the lawn, or evenings gathered around the firepit beneath dark countryside skies.

The location places you within easy reach of some of Gloucestershire's most rewarding destinations. Explore Cheltenham, famed for its elegant Regency architecture, Montpellier Gardens, and The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum. Visit Winchcombe, a historic Cotswold town home to Sudeley Castle and beautiful walking routes through the surrounding hills. Spend a day in Bourton-on-the-Water, where families can enjoy Birdland Park & Gardens, the Model Village, and scenic riverside strolls. Whether you're seeking countryside adventures or memorable days out together, Cleeve Hill House offers an exceptional setting for your Gloucestershire escape.

The historic Cotswold village of Prestbury lies on the edge of the spa town of Cheltenham, surrounded by beautiful Gloucestershire countryside and claims to be the most haunted village in England! The village offers a range of amenities including a village shop, traditional village pubs and a local butcher. Prestbury Park, home to Cheltenham Racecouse, is ideally located below the escarpment of the Cotswold Hills and plays host to the annual, world famous Gold Cup races, as well as numerous other horse racing events throughout the year. This regency spa town boasts historic Georgian architecture and an incredible range of shops, cinemas, theatres, restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions. Other festivals in this vibrant town cover literature, jazz, science, cricket, food and drink and comedy to name but a few! The whole area offers excellent walks and bridleways, with the Cotswold Way within easy reach, or for something a little different, why not try your hand at polo, at the nearby Longdole Polo Club. The historic city of Gloucester offers Roman foundations, Victorian Docklands and a magnificent Norman cathedral, whose cloisters where used as a location in the Harry Potter films, plus a bustling city centre. Many unspoilt Cotswold towns and villages lie to the east of Prestbury, whilst to the west lies the magnificent Royal Forest of Dean and the Slimbridge Wetland Centre. The beautiful World Heritage city of Bath, Shakespeare's birthplace of Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick, with its magnificent castle, are all within an hour’s drive of Prestbury, making it the perfect base for a holiday exploring the Cotswolds, all year round!
