The Lambing Shed in Lydney is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and excellent location near the Forest of Dean. Guests appreciate the ample parking, well-equipped kitchen, and the peaceful farm setting. It's an ideal base for exploring the surrounding areas and enjoying local amenities.
Guests consistently mention the property being clean and well-maintained, with only a few minor comments about bedding and towels, which do not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback on cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the Forest of Dean, local shops, and attractions. It's considered an excellent base for exploring South Wales and nearby towns, despite some guests having initial difficulty finding the property due to Satnav errors.
The property is described as comfortable and homely, with a special mention of the log fire and cosy atmosphere. However, there are remarks about the size of the en-suite shower and the quality of the double bed mattress, which suggests room for improvement.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a fully equipped kitchen, ample parking, and secure storage for bikes. Some guests noted issues with non-stick pans and mismatched crockery, indicating that while facilities are good, there is potential for enhancement.
While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no specific mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

The Lambing Shed is in a great location for visiting The Forest of Dean and Gloucester/Chepstow area. You have all the equipment necessary to cater for all your needs and also has lockable storage for your bikes if required.

The accommodation was very clean and welcoming. It had everything we needed for a 2 night stay in January.

Very comfortable accommodation adjacent to a working farm with excellent amenities. Enjoyed the stay whilst visiting family in the area but have always found plenty to do in The Forest of Dean and love the nearby towns of Chepstow and Monmouth.
