Wonderful walks with stunning scenery await you within the forest and the Wye Valley, which is very popular also for mountain biking. There are numerous fun places to visit with attractions such as Go Ape, Puzzlewood, Dean Forest Steam Railway, Dean Heritage Centre, Clearwell Caves and the Sculpture Trail. The cathedral city of Gloucester, Monmouth, Chepstow and the pretty market town of Ross-on-Wye are all within a short drive. Me, my partner and our pup had a great weekend staying at the stables! The host was very accommodating and quick to support us when needed. We found it a little hard to find as slightly hidden and not greatly labelled. The stables was great, had everything we needed, a nice secure garden so could relax when letting the pup out for a wee. Was nice and quiet. Great location with lots to do within a short drive. Only issues we would raise, was unsure where to put our rubbish/recycling, or how to check out - clearer instructions would have been nice. The hot tub was great, though had to book as shared which we understood at the time of booking, but left a little baffled when there was a hot tub in our garden… would have had used a lot more if this was usable. Also some issues with the shower leaking into the kitchen and light fitting - we did report and have this checked, but on the last day it caused the fire alarm to go off!
