Pick up a small aperitif and step aboard a river cruise (season permitting) before catching a matinee at the Roses Theatre. If historic splendour is on the agenda, Tewkesbury is home to a 12th-century abbey, adorned with one of the highest Norman towers in the country, and the largest medieval re-enactment festival in Europe in July. On those days you want to just be at one with nature, take a trip to the nearby nature reserve, educational and fun for all the family. You will find Regency Cheltenham within 10 miles, great to visit for one of their cultural festivals or a flutter at the races. Stunning Sudeley and Eastnor castles, and Malvern are all within 15 miles. Shop 100 yards, pub 170 yards and restaurant 1 mile.

Excellent place to stay. I will go again.Brilliant views of the Avon and Tewks bury Overlooking,the lock. Lots of interesting places to visit all within a 10 minute walk.
