Probably the best weekend stay we've ever had! The lodge feels very modern and luxurious. I absolutely loved that it was decorated for Christmas! It was well equipped, and the addition of some local cheese and a bottle of bubbly was so lovely! Our dog wasn't just tolerated in the lodge, he was welcomed - there were some treats and a tennis ball for him, dog bowls, we loved that he was so welcome. The view from the lodge is absolutely stunning, and we appreciated how secure it felt with the gates on entrance. The owners checked in with us before we arrived and just after. We felt very well looked after. The bed was huge, there were plenty of towels provided, lots of space, and we didn't want for anything - it was so well equipped.The only tiny thing I would say is that the fridge is quite small and there's only a tiny freezer drawer - we're really glad we hadn't stopped at a supermarket on the way, as I think we'd have been caught out by not having enough space. It didn't bother us, but just flagging for anyone reading this who might be planning on turning up with lots of food. If I could score 11 out of 10 I would - it was an amazing weekend of stunning scenery, a lovely place to stay, and time spent in the hot tub on the deck. We will definitely return.

Such an amazing lodge in beautiful surroundings. The view is to die for and the lodge has everything you need and more. Everything was perfect and the hosts were so attentive, we couldn’t have asked for more. We had the best holiday and will be back next year!
