Welcome to Anjou Bijou, a delightful ground-floor annexe nestled within the owner’s grounds, newly established in 2023. As you open your front door, you are greeted by the welcoming open-plan living, kitchen and dining area adorned with plush sofas, a Smart TV, and an electric fire to enhance your comfort. The space also features a dining table with chairs and a well-equipped kitchen, ensuring all your needs are met. Retreat to the bedroom, where a cosy double bed awaits, accompanied by an en-suite shower room for your convenience.
From your doorstep, explore numerous countryside walks with expansive views. A charming local pub, just a short distance away, beckons with its excellent food. While one small dog is allowed during your stay, please note that there is no garden at Anjou Bijou; however, a plethora of walks awaits you just outside. Miles of scenic walks can be accessed directly from the doorstep, leading into the Mendips. For a leisurely stroll, visit the nearby local pub or the village shop.
Besides Cheddar and Wells, you are also in close proximity to the historic medieval town of Glastonbury, renowned for its quirky stores and the iconic Tor. Head to Street for a shopping spree at the designer factory outlet in Clarks Village. Architecture enthusiasts will find delight in the city of Bath, known for its Roman Spa, cobblestone streets, and stunning buildings. For a seaside experience, venture to Weston-super-Mare, indulge in some classic fish and chips, and enjoy the amusements on the pier! Beach 17 miles. Pub and restaurant ½ mile.

We enjoyed our stay at Anjou Bijou and found it met our needs perfectly. It was convenient to explore both Wells, Cheddar and the surrounding countryside which had plenty to offer.A big thank you to our host, Sarah who was most welcoming and informative. Wouldn't hesitate to re-book if visiting the area again.

Excellent centre for Cheddar Gorge/Velvet Bottom, Wookey hole/Ebbor Gorge, Ham Wall RSPB, Wells, Glastonbury. Really unique little village of historical interest.
