Windmill Retreat is a wonderful place to use as a base. We were in one of the lodges and the views were gorgeous. The lodge itself was stunning. It felt very spacious, everything was clean and there was pretty much everything you would need. We were left a welcome pack containing a loaf of bread, a block of butter, a cake, 4 pints of milk and a bottle of prosecco which was such a lovely touch. It was peaceful with no intrusive lights at night that you sometimes find on typical holiday parks. The hot tub was delightful and we used it every evening. It was great that it was in its own little garden area. We didn't use the spa so can't comment on those facilities but the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The only very minor niggles for me were that the duvets were too large and too heavy for the beds but obviously that's personal choice, and the electric vehicle chargers could be better placed. I managed to charge mine with no problem and it wasn't blocking anyone but the other post with a charger each side is positioned between two of the parking spaces for named accommodations which really means that you can't use them as you would be using their spaces.Overall, I would highly recommend this for a peaceful place to stay in Somerset.

We booked 3 houses at Windmill Retreat last minute for my wedding after our original accommodation at a different place was cancelled. Windmill Retreat were so reassuring from the minute we booked and super responsive over the phone too. The 3 houses (Millstone, Oak View Lodge & Millers Rest) were all very clean and well equipped for both families of the wedding party to stay all weekend. And we had plenty of space for the bridal parties to get ready as well! The hot tub was so relaxing. All in all a really great stay - thank you so much! X

Absolute gem of a find! Perfect spot for a little mini break to the countryside. The lodge was pristine, beautifully decorated and looks as if it were brand new. We wouldnt hesitate to come back.
