Guests say

Quantock Hideaway is highly praised for its peaceful and private setting, ideal for relaxing breaks. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, comfort, and the added luxury of a hot tub. The property's location is perfect for exploring the Quantocks and nearby attractions. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is one of tranquillity and enjoyment.

Guests consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'very clean' and 'spotlessly clean'. One minor comment about crumbs in a toaster does not detract from the overall high standard maintained.

The location is frequently highlighted as peaceful and ideal for exploring the Quantocks, with proximity to local attractions. One review mentions the location being incorrect, but this seems to be an isolated issue.

Numerous reviews commend the comfort of the property, particularly the bed and cosy atmosphere. The property is described as comfortable and well-equipped for a relaxing stay.

Facilities like the hot tub are a highlight, though some reviews note minor maintenance issues such as non-working jets. The property is well-stocked with essentials, but comments about a small fridge and overgrown garden suggest room for improvement.

While guests express appreciation for the property and its amenities, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host. Therefore, a score cannot be given for this category.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. It is in a fairly remote location so was very quiet and peaceful. The decor is beautiful and it was spotlessly clean, We would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Quantock Hideaway. Despite going on a rainy weekend in January we had a lovely time. The cottage itself was cosy and warm and blended modern amenities with the enticing wood and stone of the building. We really liked the matching old wooden furniture and secluded garden. We briefly used the hot tub but as it started raining heavily so we didn't use it for very long. The wifi was really good and we logged into our Netflix in the evening on the tv.The food in nearby pubs (The Cottage & The Ancient Mariner) was delicious. We enjoyed both places. We battled the weather and went on some lovely country walks. There are some bridal paths close to the cottage so you can start walking from there. You are pretty close to the sea and one day we drove to Minehead and went for a walk through the woods at the far end of the town. I gave local amenities an average score as if you go when we did you would need to drive after dark as the narrow country roads would leave you vulnerable to traffic, although the roads are pretty quiet, however, in the summer months if you don't mind walking the local village is not too far away. We walked back from the pub after a Sunday lunch in the afternoon. There were no shops open when we were there so we went to the supermarket in Minehead. Overall we had a brilliant time and I would highly recommend. We will likely book again later in the year.
